The Football season parking selection process will remain the same as 2023. Fans wishing to take part must be a current season ticket holder and R Fund donor as of April 30, 2024. Fans will be allowed to purchase one (1) parking pass per four (4) season tickets per account holder. Each parking lot will have minimum annual gift qualifications based on the desired lot location and the number of parking passes.
A current season ticket holder is defined by having their 2024 season tickets either paid in full or on the four installment bill plan prior to April 30, 2024.
How will parking selection work?
All season ticket holders who are either paid in full or on a bill plan by April 30, 2024 will be eligible to take part in the selection process. Football season ticket holders will be assigned a window of time to select their lot via a live parking map. The window of time will be decided on priority point ranking as of April 30, 2024. The easiest way to increase your priority points is through increased annual giving towards Rutgers Athletics or purchasing additional season tickets prior to April 30.
The week of May 27, 2024, account holders will be notified of their selection window time. They will be able to log into their online account manager, view the selection program to get accustomed to the platform and start viewing lot availability. The Ticket Office will be providing further documentations and videos to assist in this process. As always, personal account representatives will be able to assist in answer questions throughout this process.
The online parking selection process will begin on Monday, June 3, 2024 and run through Friday, June 21, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Once your window opens, you will be able to select the parking lot of choice based on availability. Your current annual contributions will be factored into the minimum annual gift needed for your desired lot. The Rutgers Scholarship Seat Fees associated with season tickets will count towards the required annual gift requirement for parking. Any donations made between July 1, 2023 thru April 30, 2024 will count towards the minimum giving requirement for that lot.
We suggest the minimum donations for the desired lot are made prior to April 30 to help positively impact priority ranking and your place in line. However, the balance of annual donations required for the lots can be processed at the time of selection. The total balance due at the completion of the parking selection will be the cost of the parking pass(es) selected plus any outstanding required gifts.
As an example: You have renewed your two season tickets in section 105 and the total RSF paid is $500 and want to buy a season green lot parking pass. You have not yet made any other contribution to the R Fund as of April 30, 2024. When your window opens, you can select the green parking lot (pending availability) and your balance due will be a $1,000 gift ($1,500 minimum required annual fund gift minus $500 paid RSF) plus the cost of the parking pass ($350 for green).
What happens if I miss my time window or out of town without computer access during my designated selection time?
Once your window opens, it will remain open throughout the entirety of the selection process (ending Friday, June 21, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.). If you miss the selection process entirely, then you can work with your account rep to secure season parking but would be based on availability at that time. If you know in advance that you will not be available, simply notify your account representative and we will take the appropriate measures to help secure your parking pass for the season.
How can I ensure I get the parking lot of my choice?
The best way to ensure the parking lot of your choice is to improve your spot in line. You can either increase your annual fund amount or add on season tickets to your account. Both of which will increase your priority in the short term prior to April 30.
Can I pre-select a lot in advance? Can I ask my rep to do it for me?
If you are unable to make your window or anytime shortly thereafter, please contact your account representative to help assist with making the selections during your time slot. You cannot pre-select your lots via the parking map selection process; however, we are here to assist in the selection when your window opens.
What do I do if I want to select a parking lot with my friends and we have different selection times?
Customers wishing to group park with others need to coordinate your selection with the appointment time of the lowest ranked person within your group; and at that time, each group member can log into the online system on their own computer.
ADDITIONAL PARKING INFORMATION
Season Accessible Parking
For season ticket holders with accessibility needs, the Athletic Department will sell a limited number of parking ADA permits in the Scarlet, White and Blue lots. Season ADA parking passes will go on-sale through the Rutgers Ticket Office on June 1, 2024. Patrons will need to provide a copy of their handicap placard (unless already on file) and meet the requirements for the ADA lots. ADA parking passes will not be available through the parking selection process, please contact your account representative for an ADA pass to be placed on your account.
Single Game Accessible Parking
The Athletic Department will sell a limited number of ADA passes on a first-come, first-serve, single game basis based on availability. Single game ADA parking passes will go on sale through the Rutgers Ticket Office at 866-445-GORU the Monday before each home game starting at 8:30 a.m. Phone sales only. Should a holiday fall on the Monday preceding a home game, permit sales will take place on the first open day of business thereafter. Single game, ADA passes in the Scarlet and White lots will be $50 per pass, per game.
RV, Oversized Vehicles & Bus Parking
Game day parking for Oversized Vehicles, including Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and buses, is $100 per game. Game day parking for RVs and buses is only at Jersey Mike’s Arena and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Shuttle bus service to SHI Stadium will be provided free of charge on game day. Please note that RVs and buses are not permitted to park in Johnson Park. Overnight RV parking is also available at Jersey Mike’s Arena. Amenities nearby include restaurants, groceries and a movie theater all within walking distance on the Livingston campus. In addition, the parking lot is easily accessible to Rutgers bus transportation to downtown New Brunswick.
Tailgate Policies
- Parking lots are open five (5) hours prior to kickoff.
- Parking spaces are limited, and tailgating must be confined to a small area behind or in front of your vehicle. Traffic aisles and parking spaces cannot be blocked at any time.
- Spectators wishing to park together must enter lots at the same time, displaying matching passes.
- All stadium parking lots will be reserved for those attending the game. If you do not attend the game, you will be asked to leave the stadium parking lots at kickoff time.
- University regulations and state statutes on drug and alcohol consumption will be strictly enforced.
- Kegs, beer balls and tents/canopies larger than 10x10 are prohibited. These items are not permitted in the parking lots/adjacent areas at any time.
- For safety purposes, charcoal should be discarded in specially marked yellow barrels located throughout the parking lots.
- Open flames other than approved grills are not permitted. Campfires/bonfires are prohibited.
- Please recycle and put all trash in proper receptacles.
- RUPD and Rutgers Athletics remind everyone to please drink responsibly. Don’t drink and drive.
